Who We Are
AWA Consulting Engineers (formerly Andrew Waring Associates) is an engineering practice of structural, civil and marine design consultants, established in 1987. From our Romsey and Bath offices our team works with an array of clients and collaborators.
We are committed to a high quality work ethic and believe in an innovative yet pragmatic approach to engineering through intelligent problem solving and technical excellence. Our team includes chartered engineers, demonstrating a high level of competence and commitment to continuous professional development.
Projects are overseen by senior members of the practice to ensure high quality delivery with a professional and personal service. Our high number of repeat clients and history of successful projects are testament to the success of our philosophy.
What We Do
We provide structural engineering services across multiple industry sectors, on new build and existing buildings in relation to defects, refurbishment, conversion, extension and change of use, where we are often required to provide surveys, reports and studies.
We are respected for our expertise in relation to several niche areas in the industry, notably marine engineering projects (piers, linkspans, moorings, revetments, seawalls, breakwaters) and conservation projects of historic and listed buildings, including places of worship. Other areas of specific expertise include industrial floor slabs, oak framing and glue-laminated timber.
Our civil engineering services cover external works, underground drainage design, SuDS, and flood risk assessments. Together with our structural team, we can offer a multidisciplinary service that benefits from close coordination.
