Job Title: Senior Engineer

Location: Romsey

Ray has been with AWA for over 30 years. Once a full time member of the team until retiring in 2023, Ray still occasionally assists AWA as an Engineer; undertaking the design of small projects, and using his vast experience to provide advice and guidance to other members.

He has a particular interest in the design of traditional oak frames and the inherent problems associated with design and detailing of the timber-to-timber joints to ensure their structural integrity.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with all of his grandchildren, reading, drinking good red wine and playing golf. He is also an enthusiastic novice fly fisherman although he says he hasn’t caught any flies yet!
